My dream came true
I was born in Hamburg in 1992 and grew up in St. Pauli. The diversity and dynamism of the district have always inspired and motivated me to go my own way, also professionally. During my childhood and youth, I was enthusiastic about exercise and sport, which ultimately led me to take up the profession of physiotherapist. During my training as a physiotherapist, I had the opportunity to complete an internship here at KinderPhysio Barmbek. It was here that I discovered my passion for working with children and young people.
I was particularly fascinated by the motor and physical development of young people and how important it is to provide them with the right support right from the start. This experience led me to make the decision to specialize in paediatric physiotherapy. After successfully completing my training in 2018, I started working directly at KinderPhysio Barmbek. This time was extremely valuable for me to further expand my knowledge and deepen my skills in pediatric physiotherapy.
In 2020, an opportunity opened up for me: I was able to take over KinderPhysio Barmbek. I saw this as a great opportunity to realize my dream of living my own vision of modern, empathetic and individual children’s physiotherapy. As managing partner, I now run the practice with a lot of heart and commitment, always with the aim of offering children and their families the best possible support. It fills me with pride to work together with my great team to help the little ones develop their skills and thus improve their quality of life.

Our history
In 1997 I decided to set up my own business in the field of pediatric physiotherapy and started looking for premises. It had to be child-friendly and cozy. If possible, so that parents and children would feel equally comfortable. Maybe even with a garden. Luck was with me and I found Fuhlsbüttlerstraße 411, where there used to be a maternity advice center and the rooms were now for rent. I initially rented the first floor and converted the rooms according to my ideas to make them child-friendly and playful.
When the house came up for sale in 2004, I was lucky again and won the bid. As the practice was now doing very well, I decided to take over the upper floor, which had been rented out until then. For the conversion and extension of these rooms, we organized the brainstorming process as a cooperation project between a physiotherapy school and a year group from a design college in order to gain inspiration for an interior design that would encourage movement and play. This was great fun for everyone and some of the students also helped with the painting and design work.
In the meantime, the associated garden has also been designed by a therapist and landscape gardener with elements of sensory perception, e.g. according to Hugo Kückelhaus and Elfriede Hengstenberg. As a result, we now have a wide range of opportunities to provide each child with a stimulating and supportive environment according to their age and motivation.
